Google Offers 95% of San Francisco Free Wi-Fi

That's right - as long as the mayor approves this, about 95% of San Francisco, CA will have free WiFi access in local shops & stores.
This compliments their mission statement (above) in a great way: Making free Internet access is definately helping to make the world's information more accessible and useful. I'm envying the day when Internet will be free.
On a side-note, the speed of their WiFi is 300 kbps. They plan to branch out to more large cities as time moves on, and as funds allow, to smaller cities.
